Hope you guys are having a good weekend
So i finished up my Lamb’s face last night and this morning as i was taking my pictures he was taken away by Little Man to be Super Bunny’s friend. And now Lamb needs a cape too, so you can guess what i will be doing later today
Project: Cute lamb
Pattern: Fuzzy Mitten Lamb by Barbara Prime-blog here, patterns can be found here and here!
Made for: Me but Little Man asked to have him and i couldn’t say no.
Yarn: Leftover Cascade 220 from Hubby’s earflap hat.
Needles: size 6 dps
Notes: The ears ugh the ears Hahaha Little Man wanted the ears like this because it turns out he thought it was supposed to be a bunny but i was unaware of this when we discussed the ears. So now that he knows it’s a lamb he wants me to put the ears in the right place so along with a cape i will be fixing the ears. But i love how he turned out, he is so cute. He did come out a bit smaller than the Super Bunny i made and i think it has to do with the yarn i used.

Your right, they are such fun patterns, Jennifer
i also love that you can make outfits for them too even though Little Man shows no interest in wanting any clothes.
Juliet Update: FROGGED-i hav been thinking about this for quite some time and it just doesn’t flatter my figure at all so i know that i wouldn’t wear it.
So that means it time to find a new project
ETA: His ears are fixed!! excuse the crookedness of his body-i wanted to get his picture on here and i forgot to remold his body
Little Man is happy with the new ears and told me “See, i told you this is what i wanted” Oh boys! Now Lamb needs a cape, a coat AND a knitted cake-yeah 2 more things have been added to my list.

Well here he is in all his multi-textured glory.
I used a shaped cake pan and i was very happy with how well the details showed up. That made doing the red outline much easier. But boy is is back breaking. It really is easiest to do all the frosting while standing up and hunched over. Does not feel good. My only issue during the outlining was that sometime my tip stuck to the frosting and messed up my line.
After that i got the blue frosting out. I started with a small star tip and hated it right away but pressed on up the front leg. I soon realized i would be doing this all day so i switched to my larger star tip. Well somehow during the switching of the tips my frosting softened and was just kind oozing out. i did manage a few stars but you might be able to see that i moved on to smooth lines. hahahaha-This got so messy and i will admit i got a little frustrated. The big red blob inbetween all the white-i hadnt folded my frosting tube correctly and frosting oozed out the top end. I learned alot over the weekend and i am very glad that i decided to do a practice cake. For the most part i will do everything the same but i am not doing star texture all over the cake i think we will be going for the much faster textured rows of frosting.
The dinosaur doesn’t look bad for my first time-I mean you can tell what it is-right?
All that matters is-Little Man Approved!
Tomorrow MORNING-My Fuzzy Mitten Lamb!!!

3 more Knitted Eggs, originally uploaded by Craftydiddl.
Project: Happy Easter Eggs
Pattern: Easter Eggs by Whitney @ The Purl Bee
Made for: Me and I put one in my mom’s and mother-in-laws baskets. I actually would like to make some every year in whatever yarn scraps i have and continue to put them in the baskets but who knows maybe next year something else will “tickle my fancy”
Yarn: Leftover Lana Grossa Meilenweit 100 Multieffekt sock yarn,
left over Louet Gems Sock yarn in the pink, in yesterday’s post and the purple and lime green egg is leftover sock yarn from Karen, she used it to make my socks for the last Sockapalooza. I love how the Lana Grossa yarn is a pre-patterned sock yarn-none of the eggs i have made with that one are exactly alike.
Needle: Size 3 Double Point
Notes: I loved this pattern. It was easy, quick and fun. They are worked in the round so there is no seaming!! They are the perfect size and i can’t wait to make more next year. Since i was using self patterning sock yarn i just went with the basic egg recipe but the pattern has great pics and directions to embellish and make other versions of the eggs. So save this pattern and make some eggs next year-i wish i had found them earlier as well then i would have made a whole bunch of them.
So, remember the practice birthday cake i said i was making over the weekend-well i did it and boy was it a learning experience. Details and a picture tomorrow.
Hope you all had a great Easter. Ours was really nice. Little Man went egg hunting in the snow again. Here’s some pics if your interested. The past two Easters have been fun with the snow but i am really hoping next year is without snow.
Tonight i am hoping to stuff and seam my Fuzzy Lamb
We could have another FO soon.

So Sorry all the pictures are in a jumble, i can’t figure out how to put them in order.
So we had to move egg dying day from today to yesterday because hubby got the day off yesterday but not today. Which acutally worked out because that means i have today free to do all my baking.
So i boiled all the eggs, got the table all set up and that took about and hour. Called the up the boys to let them know we were ready and about 15 mins later we were done. But Little man loved it and it mainly went so fast because he was just dunking one egg after the other. He didnt really get into the sponging or writing on the eggs with the wax crayons but i understand-dunking eggs one after the other is much more fun.
The colors were okay this year. For some reason pink never works, and we had 2 blues one worked aewsome and you will notice it got used alot and the other one barely worked at all. i think next year we will use liquid dyes instead.
But all that didn’t matter-fun was had by all. Hubby made his few artistic ones, i made silly ones and Little man dunked and he still wants to puts stickers on his so he will do that today.
So i told you i had some goodies to share yesterday and i do. I did a Ravelery swap that they had on the Penpals group and if you look up there inbetween all those egg pictures-there is one with some yarn, stickers, super cute owl notecards and notepaper, needle tip covers, those coils that hold your needles together and a little kids craft notepad. It was a wonderful package and made my day when i got it. Thank You so Much Jen!!
Well i hope you are all enjoying your Saturday!! Some Easter-y stuff tomorrow!!

Here he is!! A Super Hero Bunny for my Little Man on Easter.
Pattern: Easter Bunny by Fuzzy Mitten
Made for: Little Man
Yarn: Vanna’s Choice Solid in Linen
Needles: Size 6 Dps-just because i wanted shorter needles to knit with.
Dates:March 11-March 20, 2008
Pattern: Super Cape and T-shirt by Fuzzy Mitten
Yarn: Some leftover Caron Simply Soft
Needles-Size 7
Notes:
Patterns were easy and fun to knit. Lots of little pieces to sew and seam together but they are small so not a big deal. I overstuffed a little on the arms so i think next time i will have to hold back and one of my legs is a little thicker than the other. lol
She also uses skpo for decreasing and i think next time i would use ssk instead-to me it looks a little bit neater but that is just personal preference.
He turned out pretty cute-I really had to mold his head-it didnt look anything like the pattern after i first stuffed it.
I think i made it more for myself then for Little Man-i wanted to try out the pattern and Little Man will enjoy the bunny for a little bit but i know it won’t last long-never does with the little guys
I originally started out with the Fuzzy Lamb pattern also by Fuzzy Mitten-this is her free pattern. i was going to do it for practice but my extra time got sucked by the illness and so i had to go straight to the bunny before i could finish the lamb-but all i have to do is seam, stuff and put him together. Next week hopefully-i got some busy days coming.
Tomorrow-some goodies to show
Happy First Day of Spring to you all-hope someone out there has some warm weather-we have cold today and snow coming tonight-not spring-like AT ALL!!
I on the other hand went more drastic-it wasn’t the plan but i got there and just decided Ah-it will grow out. So it’s mid-neck and lots of layers. i actually really like it-its nice and fresh and makes me feel ready for Spring and some warmer weather. Now i just need Mother Nature to play along
So what have you all been up to? i have cleaned my crafty room, lounged around a lot, caught up with some of the house stuff but still need to do laundry, entertained my mom while she painted her living room and gotten all the tips and decorating needs for Little Man’s birthday cake.
He wants a dinosaur cake so i am going to make it myself-i got a pan on Ebay and before the big day i am going to do a practice run of everything-so we will see how it turns out-i may be buying a square cake last minute and decorating it with dinosaur toys LOL-No i must think positively-I can do this and really it doesn’t have to be perfect-Little Man won’t notice and i am not worried about the people coming to his party-It’s all going in the mouth anyway right so my main concern will be that you can tell what it is supposed to be. I am kind of excited though-i got a Wilton’s Cake Decorating Course 1 booklet and the frosting tips i need for his cake. Maybe i will enjoy this and decorate more cakes.
i have been doing some knitting as well but not that much. i have a little friend i am knitting Little Man for Easter, another friend i was knitting for myself (all parts are done but need to be seamed, stuffed and assembled) and Juliet hasnt been touched. The repeats just seem to drag on and instead on trying to do a repeat a night and finishing the thing i am avoiding it completely cause that’s how things get done right? Hopefully something will be done soon!! This is supposed to be a crafty blog after all.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
So when did we have time to make a snowman? Last Wednesday we did when i wrongly thought i was on the mend and Little Man was still healthy and full of energy. He ran around shoveling and playing in the snow. Got me with a snowball a few times
made the snowman’s head-i did the rest and he was kind enough to remind me that he needed eyes and arms and a nose. The he disappeared to the backyard for some shoveling but when it was all done he came over and said “I like our Snowman, Mommy” I like it too-it was a fun time and i enjoyed watching him play in the sun and snow.
I’m taking things slow and have some catching up to do but i hope to have some thing to show off soon.
