This is also the week we start mailing our Sockapalooza socks. Eeeee! i am nervous about sending my package. But i picked up a couple little things for my pal-just general things that i guess i would think anybody would like because aside from what she wrote about her socks i really didn’t find out that much about her. I really hope she likes her socks and that they fit. Eeeeeee! 
AND of course i am super excited about finding out who my sock pal has been. My pal has been so nice and left comments on my almost all my entries-it feels good when before i only got comments from my mom or my friend Andrea but i made them look at my blog lol i never made my pal. So i am excited.
Since i do have a few days until clue 5 comes out-i am going to work on my Pinwheel Purse and finally try a bracelet from my book that i got a couple weeks ago. i also have to finish winding my second skein of yarn for the Stole.
I have decided to end this post by sending you over to fellow blogger, Joanna. She made some Cat Drawings that i just love and want you all to see too. The colors in them are great and she had some fun with the word Cat- So go check them out- Friendsheep!

That’s how i feel lately. Nothing to write about…nothing going on…blah, blah, blah.
I have been knitting along on my Mystery Stole. I am at row 291.

I didn’t work on the Mystery stole last night-i looked at the chart, saw all the symbols and my brain said “UGH NO!” so i played online and worked on my slow and boring cardigan for 4 slow rows.
So tonight i made myself work on the stole and after one row i have run into problems-i just can’t seem to make it thru a row without missing a yarn over. I was one stitch short on the right side and i found where i forgot a yarnover and fixed it. Went back to working on the right side one row 153 and now SOMEHOW i have one stitch too many!!!!!!!! and i dont even feel like dealing with it so here i am back online. I was afraid this would happen-i hope this doesnt discourage me and put me behind i really wanted to try and stick with it week to week so that way i can see the finished stole withe everyone else and not later. But i will just take a breather again and work on it tomorrow or maybe try and fix my row later. I just hope i don’t have have to deal with this every row-i was being so careful. ARRRGHHHH i just want to yell and stomp LOL i know i am being so silly but the last 10 rows of Clue 2 and now just beginning clue 3 and i am having problems.
well i feel better-glad i have a place to vent to.
Hope the rest of you making this are having better luck with your stole.

But here is a recap of the details:
Pattern: Child’s French Sock from Knitting Vintage Socks by Nancy Bush
Yarn: 2 skeins of Louet Gems in Crabapple Blossom-i have a small ball of yarn leftover from each skein
Needles-Size 2 dpns instead of the size 1 the pattern asked for.
Notes-I stuck to the pattern except for doing less pattern repeats on leg-Mainly because i was worried that i would not have enough yarn and now that the socks are done i am also glad i did because they are at the perfect length.
It was a great pattern-fun to make-it never got boring and the pattern repeat was easy to memorize. I will make these socks again but not for awhile
In other news-i have started working on a cardigan from the top down. I had some Rowan Scottish Tweed 4 ply that i bought on a whim because the bag of 10 was cheap and at the time i didn’t realize how hard it would be to find something to knit with it. Anyway i saw a Knitty Gritty about a month ago called Knits that fit and it was a formula that you enter your guage and measurements in and start knitting-So lets hope it is successful. So far i have the 2×2 ribbing for the collar and i am on the increasing. I also decided to knit the button band as i work so i don’t have to worry about how much yarn. i really just want it to be and easy first “kind of my own design’ cardigan. The sleeves will be 3/4 length with picot edge and i think the waistband will also have the picot edge but i am not sure yet-I’ll figure that out when i get closer to the end. I have a long way to go with my dk yarn and size 3 needles
Tonight-start clue 3 on my Mystery Stole
I don’t want to jinx anything but there may be some knitting for a friend in the future-Some baby knitting YAY finally a reason do knit all those EZ baby sweaters i have wanted to make. but it’s not for sure yet.
Weekend went really well. Saturday i went to the bookstore and got Little Man 2 games for 5 bucks each. One was The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the other was a Cranium game called Hullaballu DVD Game and he LOVES that one and i have to admit i do too. You act like animals and jump, walk backwards,crawl and just lots of fun and action and we can play with him or he can even play by himself so i am really glad i got it-i almost didn’t.
Yesterday we went to a lake that was about an hour away with friends and had a really great time. Little Man got a insect bite right by his lip so he has a huge red bump-he is very sensitive to bites they double in size and get really red-Hubby says he was the same way when he was younger. But Little Man isnt bothered by it at all so that’s all that matters.
Well-Mommy’s break time is over-Naptime and laundry are both finished at the same time. Hopefully i will have some blog worthy progress to show of on the cardigan next time.

Not much else is really going on right now. The weather has been BEAUTIFUL-my ideal weather!! High 70’s and breezy. Little Man and I went to the local Art Fair yesterday-and i was a little disappointed. I like Art Fairs but it really seems like Art Fairs are becoming less and less “ART” fairs. I mean there was a huge booth of name brand sunglasses there and a lot of the booths were also just from the stores that happen to be on that main street already. It used to have om many awesome and original things- i used to leave wanting something from half of the booths. That is just MY opinion of this one fair-i know that there are other much better fairs out there. But we still had a lot of fun and we had an Elephant Ear-Mmmmm so GOOD-the art fair is the only time a year i eat one of those.
No big plans for the weekend-i am sure some playground time with Little Man and knitting of course!

: 0 third day in a row i have posted-this is one for my record books LOL! ANYWAY…
Today was beautiful weather. So after a pit-stop at Walmart i decided to take Little Man to the marsh! I love the marsh-there is a Bald Eagle’s nest, a Heron’s nest(i have yet to see the bird-just the big nest), nice walking paths, geese, flowers, swans and people riding their horses on the Horse trails. Little Man and I had a wonderful morning there. He got to see a guy catch a fish. A big fish-22 inches long and 2 lbs. He even touched it and looked into the fish’s mouth. He even watched the guy reworm his hook. After the fishy excitement we saw some horse’s go buy and then we sat at a picnic table and ate cherries for a snack. We did go for a walk after that-more for my benefit than his and i know he didn’t like that as much and it was getting hotter by then too.

After we came home we just kinda relaxed around the house-the marsh wiped us out. Little Man and i will be sleeping very well tonight.
I tried some new ice cream today by Haagen Dazs called Sticky Toffee Pudding. Mmmmmmmm sooo good. my new favorite! Ice cream lovers should try it if they haven’t yet.

I finished one of my sock pal’s socks!! Just a half more to go. I am so glad that i decided to “work them both at the same time” i would be kinda dreading having to start a whole sock right now.
I love how the socks are turning out. A long time from now i will want some of these for my feet I will be really happy when these are done. Not that i haven’t enjoyed working on them but i have so many things i am working on and these are the one thing that HAVE to get done and i am so used to being able to just let something st if i don’t feel like working on it. At the same time its nice having the deadline.
I think i am going to work on Clue 2 for Mystery Stole 3 this weekend but by the end of the weekend i would like to have the gussets on the second sock started.

Well i was supposed to have a picture of Little Man’s socks there but i deleted the picture off my computer but luckily i already have it on Flickr so i included a link to that if you want to take a peek. i need to put them on his feet to see how much longer i need to make them. Little socks go so much faster. Can you imagine Grown-Ups with little toddler feet. What a laugh. It’s after 10 i start to get giddy thoughts.
Last but not least my washcloth. Omi got her package today and she LOVED her washcloth. I sent her the one like mine and then the Argosy Washcloth.
I did some shopping on Etsy today-i was checking to see if anyone sold Friendship Bracelets and for how much and i founs this book that i am still pondering BUT there are some things in it I can already do and the shipping is almost as much as the book. So i think i will just visit it and hope someone else buys it soon so it doesn’t taunt me anymore. But i still had some money on my giftcard left so i bought this Bracelet! I can’t wait for it to come!! And i already want more.
